About Us

The scientific and educational platform of the journal ‘Emerging Markets: Central Asian Studies ’ is a platform for exchange of opinions of the scientific community in the segment of emerging markets of the countries of Central and Central Asia and Kazakhstan.

Our aims

The aim of the competition is to promote research on economic development, technological change and global markets, as well as related scientific fields.

Publications are accepted in the following areas:

  • Emerging Asian markets.
  • Economic development, technological change and growth.
  • Digitalisation and entrepreneurship in Eurasian economies.
  • Sustainable socio-economic development and the green economy.
  • Economic innovation in the energy market.

Competition participants

The competition is open to postgraduate students, research and teaching staff, experts and specialists in macroeconomics, innovation and global markets.

Conditions of participation

The working language of the competition is Russian or English. Participation in the competiton is free and there is no organisational fee. Articles should be submitted to the Organising Committee of the competiton in electronic form using a special application form (Appendix 1). The text should be submitted as a file created in MS Word editor in *.doc or *.docx format.

In order to participate in the competition, it is necessary to submit the following package of documents: the author’s consent to participate in the competition – submitted by filling in the competition registration form (in a special electronic form); a scientific article formatted according to the competition requirements (Appendix 2).

The competition accepts original, previously unpublished scientific papers, not submitted to other competitions, between 8 and 25 pages, written independently by an author or a small scientific group (5 participants). The originality of the publication must be at least 75%.

Prize fund

The organisers will determine the winners of the competition based on the results of the evaluation of the scientific works by the members of the expert jury from among the leading scientists of Asian countries. The prize fund of the grant competition is $3,000.

  • Promising analyst(s) of the EurAsia economies 2024.
  • Foresight technologist(s) of the economic growth of Central Asia 2024.
  • Digital researcher(s) of the emerging markets of EurAsia 2024.
  • Discovery of the year: young digital researcher of the EurAsia 2024 markets.
  • Breakthrough of the year: best researcher-economist of Central Asia 2024.
  • Best young researcher-economist of EurAsia 2024.
  • Priority of the year: best research team on the economy of Central Asia.
  • Trend of the year: best research team of young researchers on EurAsia markets 2024.

Acceptance of work

Entries to the competition will be accepted from 7 October 2024 to 25 December 2024 to the following email address Inter@jsdrm.ru

An entrant may enter the competition in more than one nomination.

Evaluation criteria:

  • originality of the text;
  • relevance;
  • novelty;
  • completeness of the used scientific sources on the topic of the work;
  • degree of development of the topic;
  • theoretical and practical significance;
  • testing;
  • design.
There is a maximum of 10 points for each criterion. The winners of the competition will receive a grant for further academic research in the field of emerging markets in Asian countries. The scientific papers of the winners will be published in the peer-reviewed journal ‘Emerging Markets: Central Asian Studies’.The results of the competition will be published on the website of the journal ‘Emerging Markets: Central Asian Studies’.
